Some players on Zubto are children or vulnerable adults. A league admin can flag an individual player, or a whole team, as needing safeguarding protection. Flagging a whole team automatically protects every player on it.
Flagging a player or team requires confirming that appropriate permission has been obtained from a parent, guardian, or carer. We keep a record of which admin confirmed this, and when — but Zubto does not independently verify that permission was actually given; that responsibility sits with the confirming admin and their club or league.
Any player can be given a separate display name, shown on the public site instead of their real name — for example, a junior player's full name stays private, and only a first name is shown publicly. If no display name is set, the real name is used. Admin screens (team sheets, squad management, awarding MVP) always show the real name, since club admins and reps need to know exactly who they're managing.
